Bali Day 3: Naughty Nuri's Warung

We make our way to the popular Naughty Nuri's Warung for lunch. They are famous for their flamed pork ribs and yes it is not Indonesian food, but it is extremely fabulous food at great value!

Entrance of Naughty Nuri's

Prime ribs-a-grilling. The ribs are really tender. I spotted a stack of steamed (or perhaps pressure cooked?) ribs without sauce next to the grill. Which explains why the meat is falling-off-the-bone tender, because it is pre-cooked then flamed just to caramelise the barbeque sauce.

The must-have prime ribs flamed over hot coals, slathered in an absolutely delicious barbeque sauce at 85,000 Rupiah (SGD 9 or USD 7.7). Definitely outstanding and living up well to its hype

Another must-have: Sashimi grade tuna steak @ 75,000 Rupiah (SGD8 or USD6.8) is quick-seared:charred outside but pink in the center served with mint chutney and tomato salsa. I chose mine cooked medium, but you have a choice of rare to well done. You may wonder why sashimi grade tuna can be so affordable here: Indonesia is the largest producer of tuna in the world and much of the catch is from Bali. Highly recommended!
